Some sessions are special for the locations. Some are special for the milestone being celebrated. And some are special because you get to photograph one of your best friends. Cassidy’s senior session at Louisiana Tech was all of that wrapped into one.
Cassidy is graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and plans to continue her studies with Tech’s Master’s program. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate her achievements than with senior portraits around the beautiful Louisiana Tech University campus. I had just taken her surprise engagement photos two days prior to this session, so that made this moment extra sweet.
We started off at Louisiana Tech's iconic fountain, Lady of the Mist, where the lighting was just perfect. Cassidy’s energy and personality really shone through, making it an ideal spot to kick off the session.
Next, we headed over to Keeny Hall. It’s not a location most people think of for photos, but the stairs provided a clean and classic backdrop for some beautiful shots. Then we moved to the student center for some must-have cap toss photos in front of the big T. A live pianist playing nearby made the moment even more fun and unique.
Not far from the student center, the clock tower caught our eye. Its intricate brickwork and open space created a beautiful setting, and the late afternoon light added depth and warmth to the images. It was the perfect way to showcase another striking (no pun intended) Tech landmark.
After that, we stopped by the Ropp Center for photos at the white columns, adding another iconic Tech location to her gallery and rounding out the session beautifully. Finally, we returned to the Lady of the Mist for a champagne spray celebration. Cassidy’s excitement was contagious, and it was such a fun way to wrap up the session.
This Louisiana Tech senior session was such a joy and a great reminder of why I love senior photography so much. It was a wonderful introduction to capturing senior portraits on Tech's campus. From fountains and staircases to the clock tower and classic columns, the Tech campus provides so many beautiful locations to tell a senior’s story.
If you’re a Louisiana Tech senior or know someone looking for senior photography in Ruston, West Monroe, or nearby areas, I’d love to help you create bold, vibrant, and timeless memories!
