From the handmade details to the sweet private vows, Kylie and Brendan’s wedding day at Corbeau Creek in Minden, Louisiana was filled with so many memorable moments. The morning began with dark clouds and rain showers rolling through Northeast Louisiana, , but you never would have guessed it from Kylie’s attitude. She was truly a ray of sunshine all day long and such a joy to work with!

And I have to give a special shoutout to Kylie’s mom, Mrs. Stacey Knox, one of my old (and extremely cool) high school teachers! She kept the day running so smoothly and had so many thoughtful ideas throughout the wedding day. Not only that, but she also handcrafted many of the details herself, which made everything feel even more personal and meaningful.

After a rainy drive to the venue, the sun finally started peeking through the clouds, which honestly felt like such a gift. It began drizzling while I photographed the details and the cutest getting ready photos ever, but thankfully the rain cleared just in time for Kylie and Brendan’s private first look and vows. They chose to share that moment together privately, but with their permission, I was able to sneak in a few photos of such a sweet and emotional part of the day.

Afterward, we took couple and bridal party portraits around the venue. Between the soft post-rain lighting and all the excitement of the day, these portraits ended up being some of my favorites from the entire wedding!

The ceremony itself was short, sweet, and filled with so much joy. Once the ceremony ended, we moved quickly through family photos before heading into the reception.

One of my favorite details from the evening was the couple’s grand entrance. Guests waved ribbon wands as Kylie and Brendan entered the reception, and of course, Mrs. Knox made those too! It was such a fun and unique touch that photographed beautifully.

Kylie and Brendan also made the thoughtful decision to take a photo with every table during the reception so each guest would leave with a memory alongside the bride and groom. I always love when couples prioritize moments like that because it makes the celebration feel so personal and intentional.

After dinner, everyone spent the rest of the evening dancing and celebrating together, which was the perfect ending to such a joyful wedding day.

Kylie and Brendan’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that even when plans feel uncertain, God has a way of bringing things together exactly how they’re meant to. Rain clouds and all, it was truly such a special day to capture. Kylie and Brendan, thank you for letting me be a part of your big day!

If you’re planning a wedding in West Monroe, Ruston, or surrounding areas and are looking for bold, vibrant, and timeless wedding photography, I would be THRILLED to work with you!
